IBionext recognizes the importance of protecting all personal data of each user of the iBionext website (“Site”)
The purpose of this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is to inform you about the way iBionext, in its capacity as data controller, collects and uses your personal data (“Personal Data”) and the means at your disposal to control this use and exercise your rights. We encourage you to consult this Policy and to click on the available links if you wish additional information on a particular subject.

This Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be effective when the revised Policy is posted on the Site. The last update of this Policy was carried out on the date mentioned in the header.

1. Personal Data

iBionext may collect and process your Personal Data as part of your use of the Site, during professional meetings or partnerships, or through registrations, application forms, presentations, pitch decks, and surveys, in relation to your requests.

We may also collect your Personal Data via other sources such as public databases and social media platforms.

2. Purposes of Personal Data Processing
Your Personal Data is processed by iBionext as permitted by applicable regulations, in particular for the purpose of operating, maintaining and improving the Site and to manage the relationship with users in order to meet the following purposes:

  • Ensure the functionality of the Site and respond to your requests when we have a contractual relationship or a legitimate interest;
  • Offer personalized services with your consent or if we have a legitimate interest in providing you with information that may be of interest to you;
  • Allow you to participate in programs, activities, events as part of our contractual relationship with you, or if we have a legitimate interest in doing so;

Since your Personal Data is confidential, only persons duly authorized by iBionext can access your Personal Data, without prejudice to their possible transmission to the bodies responsible for a control or inspection mission in accordance with the applicable regulations. All persons having access to your Personal Data are bound by an obligation of confidentiality.

n addition, iBionext implements technical and organizational measures to ensure that your Personal Data is stored securely for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes pursued in accordance with applicable law. However, no transmission or storage technology is completely safe.

In order to ensure the confidentiality of your Personal Data, iBionext hosts or has such Personal Data hosted on its servers or those of its subcontractors on the territory of a state considered to offer an adequate level of protection.

If your Personal Data were to be transferred to a state that is not considered to offer an adequate level of protection, in particular in the context of the use of a subcontractor, iBionext puts in place appropriate measures, ensuring for example that the recipient is required to comply with the standard contractual clauses of the European Union, in order to protect your Personal Data.

iBionext may communicate your Personal Data:

5. Retention Period
iBionext will retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary or permitted for the purposes and as set out in this Policy. The determination of the retention period is based on the following criteria: (i) the duration during which we maintain an ongoing relationship with you and during which we make the Site available to you; (ii) the fact that we are subject to a legal or regulatory obligation; or (iii) the fact that the retention is recommended (in relation to the application of the Term of Use, the applicable prescription rules, litigation or regulatory investigations). iBionext will retain your Personal Data for the time necessary to fulfill the pursued purposes, subject to the legally permitted archival, obligations to retain certain data, and/or anonymization.

6. Personal Data of Under 18
The use of this Site is intended for persons of 18 years and older. Anyone requesting information about our products or services or those of startups in our ecosystem for use in children must be 18 years of age or older. IBionext will not knowingly collect, use or disclose Personal Data from a person under the age of 18, without obtaining the prior consent from the person exercising parental authority (e.g., a parent or guardian) through direct off-line contact. IBionext will provide such person with (i) notice of the specific types of Personal Data being collected from the under 18, and (ii) the opportunity to object to any further collection, use, or storage of such information.

7. Links to other sites
This Site may provide links to websites of start-ups in our ecosystem or third parties’ websites that may be of interest to you. iBionext has no control over the content of these websites or the practices of the third parties with regard to the protection of Personal Data that they may collect when you access such websites. Consequently, IBionext waives any responsibility concerning the processing of your Personal Data when connecting to these websites. It is your responsibility to find out about the Personal Data protection policies of the owners of the sites.

8. Your Rights
Subject to the limitation under applicable regulations, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, deletion of, and oppose to the processing of, your Personal Data.

You also have the right to the portability of your Personal Data and to decide on the future of your Personal Data after your death by adopting general or specific directives.

iBionext undertakes to respond to you as soon as possible, taking into account the complexity of the request. If iBionext does not comply with your request, it will inform you of the reasons for its inaction.

If, despite iBionext’s efforts to preserve the confidentiality of your Personal Data, you believe that your rights are not respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
